The Permanent School of Living, in collaboration with RestArt, presents a workshop on the direct and analytical observation of preservation issues with the aim of planning a specific project for the restoration of the church of Sant’Agostino in Montalcino.

Experience in designing a restoration project
OCRA Officina Creativa dell’Abitare
Via Boldrini 4, Montalcino (SI), Italy
09-10 October 2015

The workshop
By directly visiting the restoration site with the wall paintings of the Church of Sant’Agostino in Montalcino (14th and 15th centuries), under the direction of the teachers, the students will have the opportunity to directly and analytically observe preservation issues, so that they can then plan a specific project for the restoration work. The main objective is to let students create a project by leveraging on the specific training acquired, so that they learn to deal with an actual restoration site.
