The Chapel of Light is entirely underground and is located in the olive grove along the pedestrian path that leads from the parking area to the Monastery Complex of Siloe, where the view of Sasso d’Ombrone is the most charming.

It is entirely underground, only the two dry stone walls that mark the entrance can be seen.

Two stone partition walls open – inside, there is a glass box with the ambo in the centre under a zenithal light that comes from a hollow stone. The Lady of Fatima donated to the Community of Siloe by the Rector of the Sanctuary of Fatima is located in the corner facing east.

The flat roof made of reinforced concrete is covered with earth and grass, the floor is made of river pebbles, the two internal earth retaining walls are covered with “golden stones”, sandstone from Mount Amiata.
