redevelopment of
tenuta il fontanile
magliano in toscana (gr)in corso
A project born from the desire to return to the Tuscan rural landscape an architectural grammar capable of reweaving, without mimicry, the bond between dwelling and the earth. Following the traces of ancient agricultural settlements, the new volumes rest gently on the terrain shaped by time and labor, becoming part of a living organism that does not impose itself, but allows itself to be discovered—like a sequence of measured gestures.

Water, a living material, is called upon to reflect and multiply the presence of architecture: pools and channels trace paths, pauses, thresholds. In moments when the light fades and the wind falls silent, the house seems to float, to brush against the land, while the materials—stone, corten, pigmented plaster—narrate the meeting of permanence and transformation. Every surface is designed to receive time; every wall resonates with light.

Inside, the space unfolds in a slow, domestic rhythm: hospitality becomes a spatial experience, a passage. Wide openings frame the landscape like moving pictures, and warm, raw materials engage in dialogue with air, vegetation, and silence.

The agritourism functions are arranged in a constellation of interconnected structures, each tied to a fragment of land, a precise view, a clear intention.

This is not merely a place for reception, but a poetic micro-topography that reunites memory and project. An architecture that chooses not to speak of itself, but lets light, water, and movement tell its story—in a whisper, in the long time of nature.
