regula prize 2025 for the redevelopment project of borgo banditaccia

The redevelopment project of Borgo Banditaccia, in Magliano in Toscana (GR), has been awarded the RĒGULA Prize 2025 | 100 Italian Projects in the category Restoration, Redevelopment and Adaptive Reuse. The award ceremony took place in the Sala della Protomoteca at the Capitoline Hill in Rome.

The prize, promoted under the patronage of the Italian Ministry of the Environment and Energy Security, Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport, Ministry of Culture, Ministry of Tourism, National Council of Engineers, High Council of Public Works, and the National Council of Architects, Planners, Landscapers and Conservators, annually selects ten outstanding projects from the one hundred Italian works published in the eponymous volume.
The Borgo Banditaccia project was recognized for its ability to reconnect a historic rural settlement with the landscape of the Maremma, combining historical memory, sustainability, and architectural quality. A virtuous model of regeneration that highlights the role of contemporary architecture in the care and stewardship of the territory.
